YOUR DATA

Privacy policy

Effective 14 September 2026

evecta.ai is operated by Roy Faigenbloom. For privacy questions or requests, contact roy@evecta.ai. This policy covers the evecta.ai interview-practice application, including its original chatgpt.site address.

What we collect and why

When you sign in through ChatGPT, the app receives your account identifier, email address, and name when supplied. We use your identifier to keep your saved workspace associated with your account.

We process the CV text and files you provide, professional background, role and company details, interviewer information, recruiter communications, notes, interview settings, answers, transcripts, and generated assessments. We use these to prepare and conduct simulations, give feedback, and show your interview history and progress. Providing this information is optional, but some features need relevant background and answers to work.

Only include information you are entitled to share. Remove unnecessary private details about yourself and other people from documents and messages. You can practice without supplying recruiter communications or an interviewer photograph.

AI providers and connected chat apps

In API mode, your selected AI provider receives the interview context and conversation needed to generate questions and feedback. Built-in provider requests and verified Alibaba Singapore endpoints pass through the app server; other custom-provider requests are sent from your browser. API keys are held temporarily for requests, are not saved in the app database, and are cleared from the page on refresh.

In subscription mode, the interview takes place in ChatGPT or Claude. A connection you authorize allows that chat app to read and update your preparation and interview history and save transcripts and assessments. It does not expose your model API keys. You can revoke connector access on the subscription setup page; access tokens expire after 30 days.

Your chosen provider or chat app has its own privacy, retention, and model-training policies. Deleting data in evecta.ai does not delete conversations or copies already held by those services. evecta.ai does not use your preparation or transcripts to train its own models.

LinkedIn information

You can supply LinkedIn information yourself through pasted text, a file, or the optional selected-text browser shortcut. Direct LinkedIn import is available only when the integration is enabled and LinkedIn permits access for your account; this policy does not imply that LinkedIn has approved access.

With your authorization, direct import requests your profile, positions, education, skills, saved jobs, and job applications to personalize preparation. The integration does not request your inbox, contacts, or unrelated data categories. Access tokens are encrypted in storage. Sync runs when you connect or request a refresh.

Disconnecting LinkedIn removes the saved connection token and imported snapshot from connection storage. Background copied into your preparation and past interviews remains until you edit or delete it. Use “Delete my data” to remove all saved workspace data. You can also revoke access through LinkedIn.

Voice, cookies, and browser storage

Optional dictation uses your browser’s speech-recognition service, which may process audio remotely under its own policies. evecta.ai stores the text answers you submit, not microphone audio or video recordings. Read-aloud uses your browser’s speech service.

Sign-in and authorization use cookies to maintain sessions and protect connection requests. The app may keep a preparation draft in browser session storage to preserve it through sign-in. Drafts have a 30-minute validity period and expired drafts are cleared when the app next reads them; closing the tab normally clears session storage. The app does not add advertising trackers.

Storage and disclosure

Saved workspace data and uploads are stored using OpenAI Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting and authentication services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs to deliver and protect the service. Your selected AI provider receives the information described above. Email you send to our contact address is handled through ImprovMX forwarding and Gmail.

Your workspace is not published to other candidates or employers. We do not sell your personal information or run candidate benchmarking in the current version. Information may be accessed as needed to support the service, resolve a request, investigate abuse, or comply with a legal obligation. Service providers may process information outside your country; their applicable data-protection terms and safeguards govern that processing. Contact us for information about a specific provider or transfer.

Retention and deletion

Saved preparation, uploads, and interviews remain available until you delete them; the current app has no automatic inactivity-based deletion schedule. In the app’s “Privacy & data” panel, you can export preparation and interview history or select “Delete my data.” Deletion removes the saved profile, uploaded files, interviews, feedback, and connection credentials from the app’s active storage. You can also delete individual interviews.

Copies retained by infrastructure providers in backups or security logs follow those providers’ retention processes and may not disappear immediately. Copies you export, emails you send, and data already shared with an AI provider are separate from your app workspace. Contact us if you need help with deletion or access.

Your choices and rights

Where applicable data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we process information needed to provide the service you request, rely on your consent for optional connections, and rely on legitimate interests to secure and support the service. We may also process information to meet legal obligations. You can withdraw consent by disconnecting an optional service; this does not undo processing already completed.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. Email roy@evecta.ai with your request. We may ask for information needed to verify that the workspace belongs to you. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Practice feedback and policy changes

Scores and pass-likelihood estimates are AI-generated practice feedback, not validated predictions or hiring decisions. evecta.ai does not make employment decisions about you. You can review your transcript, correct your preparation, and retake an interview.

We will update this page and its effective date when our data practices change. Material new uses, such as candidate benchmarking, will require an updated explanation and any consent required before they begin.
